Bore Hole Seals

Bore hole seals with inside steel or plastic pipes are predominantly applied in mining and tunnelling to consolidate the surrounding rock formation by injecting resin, cement slurry etc. and to seal up the bore holes. Those with inside plastic pipes are mainly used to protect the winning machinery from damages, when cutting the bore hole seals. The sealing is effected by pressurization with the injection medium.

A burst disc ensures that the injection medium is not released into the bore hole until there is an increase of pressure. In case there is a pressure break, the inside hose valve prevents a decrease of the gripping pressure which depends on the injection pressure. After the medium has been injected, the pressure line can be dismantled immediately, an integrated return valve prevents the backflow of the injection medium.
